Jonathan Richard (born 17 February 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and musician who plays guitar, bass, percussion, harmonica, and piano. The beginnings of Jonathan's solo career started from playing acoustic songs he'd written between the ages of 16 and 19 for a few friends while on the road in 2007. Receiving a positive response to the songs, Jonathan returned to his then home of Salem, Oregon to record a handful of songs titled The Angelina County EP, which became the name he recorded under. Shortly after this recording session, he moved to Globe, Arizona. The first year in Arizona found Angelina County playing around Globe and writing a full length album full of morbidly depressing songs. After completion of recording, Jonathan abandoned the record and the band name. Reforming under the moniker Cecelia Ann and writing a new full length record of hopeful songs. The response in Globe grew and Cecelia Ann began playing around the Phoenix area. After many shows around Arizona with the likes of Courtney Marie Andrews and Poem, Jonathan again grew tired of the music he was creating. Once again, tossing out all his songs and changing his name. This time to his birth given name: Jonathan Richard. In the winter of 2009, JR wrote and recorded his debut, the Concrete Stairs EP, in the quiet of his downtown home in Miami, Arizona.
