Jonathan Osmark (born on April 28 1986, Stockholm) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and musicproducer. He is also currently one of two frontmen in The Loftyounkers, together with Anders Lindahl, whom he met in high school. They formed the band in Jönköping, in Sweden. Both learned to play guitar, and Jonathan’s restless nature led him to become something of a multi-instrumentalist, mastering bass, ukulele, mellotron, and Spanish flute pipe. He later began to Beatbox, and program electro and techno on PC. The Loftyounkers, to date, have played their style of ‘ramshackle rock’ at Akademien, in Stockholm, with plans for other gigs put on hold while they work on new material. Osmark writes all songs for the band, alongside Lindahl. He cites “Immortal songwriters, like David Bowie, John Lennon, Brian Eno and Jimmy Page”, and draws inspiration from English poets such as T.S. Elliot. He has authored several online Epic Poems, at times initiating collaborations, and writing pieces that span periods of weeks, and several continents of unseen lyricists. This ‘cut-up’ technique has proved fruitful for all participants. (For example, see Last.fm Poet's Corner). His own lyrics tend to have themes of Romance, Sex and Death, laced with a peculiarly Swedish poignancy and sense of alienation. He is presently creating what he calls ‘generic techno music’, fuelled by ‘dirty German nightclubs, insomnia, loud fuzzy sounds and many cups of English tea.’ Osmark does not like to be confined,
