Jon R. Mohr writes music to inspire those who want to bring to life images and emotions that once vanished into time, to give soul and color to every new day. Jon R. Mohr is a cinematic music composer and producer based in Ohio. He specializes in orchestral music ranging from soft/flowy to loud and aggressive trailer music. Jon is a prolific composer, having released 16 albums in the 4 years he has been creating music (3 of which are from his extreme metal / varied genre sideproject, "Jon R. Mohr's Playhouse"). With each album release, Jon explores new orchestration and production techniques to enhance his sound and more accurately express his ideas. Jon draws inspiration from a variety of sources ranging from other composers like Thomas Bergersen and Adrian von Ziegler to metal groups like Cattle Decapitation and Devin Townsend. Always learning, he has worked with mentors on marketing and branding, as well as the sync licensing industry and structuring trailer music. When it comes to orchestration, music theory, and production, he is completely self taught. Jon has composed the soundtrack for Mohammed Saffouri’s award-winning documentary, “The First.” Aside from the usual cinematic music, Jon has also worked directly with British singer-songwriter Jacre on a pop-orchestral track called “Ghost in the Rain” (releasing early October), with more co-writes and co-productions on the way.
