Various artists named Johnny Law: 1) - Johnny Law is a rock and roll songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota USA, most often compared to Steve Earle, Roger Waters, Mark Knopfler. Johnny Law released his debut CD, Hanging By A Thread in 2005. He appears sporadically in the Minneapolis area with his band The new Century Prophets. 2) - Johnny Law is also a house guitarist at Spirit Garage in Minneapolis. His guitar work can be heard on the Spirit Garage Band's 2001 release Free Parking and their 2005 release Faith, Love, and Rock and Roll. 3) - Johnny Law was a 1990's rock band from Austin, Texas. Often compared to the Black Crowes, the band signed with Metal Blade records in 1991. Primarily active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band has played occasional reunion shows since then. The group’s founding members were Erik Larson on guitar and lead vocals, Brady Hughes on guitar and Ron McRae on bass. They released 'Johnny Law' in 1991.
