Johnny & His Cellar Rockers were a Dutch guitar combo from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, that existed from 1961 to 1964 - and then (after some line-up changes) became The Hunters. Heavily influenced by the sound of The Shadows, the band is a footnote in Dutch rock & roll history, because it was founded by Jan Akkerman, who would later enjoyed international success as the star guitarist in rock bands such as Brainbox and Focus. Band members: Hans Kuyt, Jan Burgers, Pierre van der Linden, Jan Akkerman, Cor Engelsma and Cockie Akkerman.
