John Samaras is an American singer-songwriter from Little Neck, New York. He plays several instruments, including guitar, saxophone, bass, drums, clarinet, and piano. He is locally known for his intimate compositions based around delicate acoustic guitar work and emotive chord progressions. His music often elicits feelings of nostalgia. His fifth solo album, Trapeze Smile, released on May 25, 2019. Later that year, he released a live album titled Live, Vol. I. He is currently getting ready to start recording his follow up to Trapeze Smile. John is also the singer/guitarist and songwriter of the alternative rock band, Cloud Tapes. Cloud Tapes will be entering the studio in 2020 to begin work on their follow up to their second full length record, If There Were A Reason.
