At least three artists go by this name: 1) John Paul is an American harpsichordist. He presents concert programs selected from the entire harpsichord repertoire. His specialties are the 17th and 18th century French School and the suites of J.S. Bach. His preferred format is the informance, in which both the instruments and the music are discussed to maximise the engagement of the audience. He has completed more than five hundred appearance and school residencies over the past 20 years, and has released several critically-acclaimed recordings from labels which include Lyrichord and Centaur. 2) John Paul is a DJ and recording artist from Toronto who presently lives in Montreal. He was the host of several radio shows in Canada and has DJed events including the Detroit Electronic Music Festival and State of Emergency. He has released approximately 100 original songs on four labels over the course of his career.
