Previously played with indie guitar rock heroes (and night time BBC Radio One favourites) Fuzzbird, Greenhouse, The Chorus and the Sinister Cleaners. Now fronts Leeds based Whole Sky Monitor as well as doing the acoustic stuff. The songs are not indie rock without a band but might be 'alternative folk' or 'modern urban folk' or something - ‘A little like Loudon Wainwright III with fewer jokes’ seems to come reasonably close, though there are no influences worn on the sleeve. Lyrical obsessions include love, longing, lust, religion, politics, self examination, the meaning of life, TV, general angst and touches of black humour.
