"I never learned other people's lyrics, I was attracted by the emotion of other people's songs." John Odino is new on the scene, but is quickly gaining steam with over 400,000 Youtube views on a demo recording, "Mi Primer Amor." John has already started a buzz around the Bachata heavyweights. The trademark of John's music is melodic warmth that expresses pure emotion. "My music has warm romantic melodies that make our hearts pound with the same rhythmic pattern, bounding our souls and emotion into a single identity, to prove that what I'm singing are real emotions." Odino was born in the Bronx, New York on the 17th of November, 1990. John's mother Elsa Delorbe comes from Dominican Republic and father Roberto Odino comes from Argentina. Although John's father was never there for the young artist, John relied on his mother and "my beautiful Grandmother Erika Bueno (Nana)" for support. Odino lists Aventura, Juan Luis Guerra, Michael Jackson and Drake as his major musical influences. From these influences comes a new sound. Working closely with producer Jean Carlos Castillo also known as JeanCast, the pair is catching listeners' attention. "Jean is a great worker, I don't even want to call him just a producer. He has taught me so much musically and about the music industry. He's the man... great person to work with." Currently Odino is working on finishing his debut album. 2012 promises to be a pivotal year for this quickly rising star. User-contributed text is available
