Artist
John M. T. Marwin (* 1979) is a tracker artist from Helsinborg, Sweden. He started creating music in 1996 with Fasttracker 2 but, in later years, changed to a more advanced program called Renoise. John Marwin's style of music is heavily influenced by his feelings and thoughts in the moment he creates the tracks. The outcomes of which are often instances where soft and calm tracks are right next to distorted speedcore and screaming chiptune tracks. He himself once classified his style as "experimental, mellow, hard, filled with emotion, cold, distant, intimate, hateful, loving, sarcastic, stupid but most of all, MY music." His most popular works are "Unmentality", "D0n't Taunt Me", "Where Am I?", "The Night I Died", "M4 $hort Range Bur$t" and "B0y Meet$ Girl", which gained a lot of popularity by appearing in a game called "Clean Asia!" by the Indie Game Developer Jonathan Soderstrom (better known under his pseudonym, cactus). Clean Asia was nominated for several awards in the Independent Games Festival 2008, one of them being for the music, what Marwin rates as "the biggest artistic recognition that I've had for my music this far!"
