Artist
From the 'umble beginnings in Stonewall and Asterix, to the pop flamboyance extravaganza in Les Humphries Singers, to hard-driving prog rock of Lucifer's Friend, the legendary years spent with Uriah Heep in the late 70s, and the subsequent solo career, etc. etc. etc., John Lawton remains most commonly known for his uncommon, inimitably unique, bold, legendary singing style, whatever outfit or genre he turns to, from pop to jazz-rock to heavy metal. His curriculum vitae includes a good dozen bands, of which the most known ones are Uriah Heep and Lucifer's Friend. As a sign of our deepest respect to his great voice, stage performance style and the excellent music he has brought us through the years, we've decided to come up with this brand new page. Here we will be making every effort possible, in order to bring you both historical and current information about any and all of John's musical ventures, past and present, and more.
