John Barnard studied classical piano for 8 years as a child in England. He then neglected his music for many years. During a time of solitude, he discovered that he was able to compose music.He had no idea where it was coming from, but the music flowed. After two years of arranging and recording his compositions, his debut album 'Beyond The Clouds' was released. The album was an immediate success, noted for it's unique calming effect and British Airways commissioned 'Beyond The Clouds' in it's entirety for their 'Well Being In The Air' relaxation program, playing his music continuously on all long haul flights, worldwide, for over two years. John's second album 'The Changing Years' was released two years later and met with similar success both in Australia and overseas. The album 'Araluen' was commissioned by Araluen Botanic Park in Western Australia with the WA Government making an investment into the production of the album. This self released CD caught the imagination of many and John won the prestigious West Australian Arts Venture Capital award for the most successful venture under their Arts Investment Scheme. British Airways also commissioned the album Araluen and both ‘Beyond The Clouds’ and ‘Araluen’ were being played back to back on all long haul flights world wide. During 1998 he met his now wife and published his album 'When Your Eyes Kissed Mine'. This was the fourth album and the last track seems to signify the end of a journey by its tones. John is now 7
