Johannes Hopfner, author, composer, performer, started playing the guitar at 15 when his father taught him the Folk songs he knew from the time he used to play in Copenhagen bars. Johannes sang and played his first compositions with "Dismal" in 1994 while he was in high school. His music was then influenced by Nirvana, Black Sabbath and others. Carrying on his musical journey, he set up an atmospheric metal band in 1998, "Streams of Consciousness", and also joined "Hypn'oz"(alternative rock band) that same year. After eight years of being a self-taught guitarist and singer, Johannes decided in 2001 to complete his musical knowledge and instrumental practice by attending EDIM (School of Actual Music) where he studied during two years. "Katakindia" (progressive psychedelic rock band) was set up at that time. With this band, Johannes found the opportunity to perform on a regular basis in renowned Parisian venues (Divan du Monde, Glaz'art, Balle au bond, etc).
