Artist
joey castell was an avid elvis fan and toured londons bars and clubs in the late 50s and early 60s with his band. After a very serious road accident in 1962 this all came to an end and he spent the later years of his life suffering from chronic depression (probably brought on by the severe brain injuries he suffered in the accident) and took his life in 1983 aged 52. He has one daughter claudia born the week of his acckdent. He worshipped Elvis all through his life and listened to his music daily. He was half english and Iraqi but sadly did not know his parents and joined the british army to belong. He bacame an exemplary paratrooper and was very proud of his red beret. His daughter took on his love of elvis and is also a dedicated fan. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
