This 20-year-old South Florida native’s music combines traditional jazz and prog rock, along with Afro-Cuban funk and South Beach electronica, into that jazz-fusion vibe that we might as well call “Miami Modern.” As a keyboard player and composer, Joel McCullough manages to find the best in every style of music he works with. As an arranger and bandleader, he seems to bring out the best in every musician he works with.
