Freestyle / Pop Joei Mae's first single, "He's My Baby" Appearing ... .. Dark Records, won acclaim among DJs. After striking la distribution deal with Priority Records, her second single, "Promise Me Your Heart" was released. Joei's love for music stems from her early childhood, when she thought singing was natural - something everyone did. After learning not everyone could sing, she realized being able to sing was a gift - something she had to do. Songwriter/Choreographer Franc. Reyes introduced her to Carlos "After Dark" Berrios, who signed her to After Dark Records. Carlos Berrios is also well-known for his work with other Freestyle Divas, such as Corina and Lisette Melendez. Joei Mae's single, "Promise Me Your Heart" was received very well by radio, mix DJs, clubs and Freestyle lovers nation wide. The track received regular rotation at several radio stations all across the states. Both of her singles can be found on numerous Freestyle compilations. In 2008 Joei Mae was also featured on Carlos Berrios' double freestyle smashes: Don't Look Back series (available on www.universalfreestyle.com) singing not one but THREE tracks!
