Artist
Joe Dean (Joseph Hensky Dean, April 25, 1908, St. Louis, Missouri - June 24, 1981, St. Louis, Missouri) was a barrelhouse blues pianist and singer. Joe Dean recorded one 78rpm, on Vocalion 1544 in 1930: βI'm So Glad I'm Twenty-One Years Old Today b/w Mexico Bound Blues.β He remained musically active on a part-time basis into the 1960's. He eventually became the Reverend Joe Dean. # Joe (Joseph) Dean was born in Swindon, England in 1992. He moved to the USA with his family in 1999, and lives in Sandy, UT. He got his first guitar (a "Costco special") in 2006. He started guitar lessons with Mike Bayliss, and practised non-stop thereafter. Joe liked to perform music he was into - eg Green Day, All Time Low - got himself a part-time job after school, bought himself a couple more guitars, and wrote his first song in 2007. He first sang one of his own compositions at Mike Bayliss' annual recitals in the summer of 2008. His 17th birthday present was a day in a recording studio with producer Chance Thomas in March 2009 - Joe chose to record his first original composition, "Eyes Like Beauty Never Stopped Me". Note: He isn't the guy singing "I'm so glad I'm 21 years old today" :-) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
