Jocelyne Taillon (May 19, 1941 - Doudeville (Seine-Maritime), Normandy, France - June 10, 2004 - Rouen, France) was a French operatic soprano. Joecelyne Taillon was pupil of Suzanne Balguerie and of Germaine Lubin in Paris and won in 1966 the 1st prize at the Singing Competition of Monte Carlo. Jocelyne Taillon became first known as a concert soprano. In 1968 she made her stage debut at the Opera House from Bordeaux in Ariane et Barbe-Bleue by Dukas. At the Opera of Geneva she appeared in Macbeth by Ernest Bloch. Then followed appearances at the Festivals of Aix-en-Provence, in Madrid, at the Opera of Nantes and in Marseille. In Madrid and in Paris she had very big successes in concerts and in Lieder recitals. In 1970 she sang at the Holland festival, in 1971 at the Festival of Glyndebourne the role of Geneviève in Pelléas et Mélisande by Debussy. In the same year she appeared as a guest at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. In 1971-1972 she appeared at the Festival of Salzburg in Il Sant' Alessio by Stefano Landi, in 1980-1982 she sang there in of Hoffmanns Erzählungen, in 1986 Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro. In 1973 she made her debut at the Grand Opéra Paris as Ines in Troubadour, where she then appeared as Geneviève in Pelléas et Mélisande, as Marthe in Faust, as Soeur Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites by Fr. Francis Poulenc and as Quickly in Verdi's Falstaff. In 1977 she at the Grand Opéra in performances of the Monteverdi opera L'Incoronazione di Poppea. She had
