Jo Nesbø (born 29 March 1960) is a Norwegian author and pop musician. He was born in Oslo and grew up in Molde. Nesbø has primarily written crime novels, but also song lyrics for the pop band Di Derre (where he is the vocalist), and a play. He has also released the solo album Karusellmusikk. He is awarded the Norwegian Rivertonprisen and the Scandinavian Glasnöklen for his crime novels, and is translated into Swedish, Finnish, Danish, German, Dutch, Lithuanian, Russian, Bulgarian, Polish, English, and French.
