Twenty one year old Jimmy Levy's gritty yet elegant vocals and hauntingly passionate lyrics speak directly to your soul, diving into the darkness while synchronously finding the light. Currently working on his debut EP Jimmy reflects on the adversity of the broken people. While exploring the consequences of substance abuse, mental illness, heartache and despair, through his writing, he captures in his thought-provoking EP, the essence of our Aching World. Growing up in South Florida Jimmy began his artistic journey painting and writing at the age of five. It wasn’t until a homework assignment in a fourth-grade choir that he accidentally discovered his vocal ability while singing, "I Have a Dream" by Abba. He channeled his new-found passion for singing participating in both musical theater and chorus. He began to share his talent online, ultimately going viral, yet painfully experiencing cyber-bullying, do to his "non-cookie-cutter appearance". Caustic words led to eating disorders and depression but Jimmy persevered using his music to heal and grow. His first major performance was a duet with the legendary Phoebe Snow singing "Poetry Man". Jimmy was a finalist on the first season of Youtube's Best Cover Ever, hosted by Ludicrous and Ryan Seacrest after his cover was discovered by international recording artist Bebe Rexha.
