Jimmy Hill was born on November 21, 2004 in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Growing up he was always fascinated with music and took piano lessons through the majority of his elementary schooling years. He is self taught in guitar, but has benefitted greatly from vocal/intrumental/guitar courses throughout high school . Jimmy released his first project, a 3 song EP called "Iris" on April 15, 2020, and released a few more singles throughout 2020. On October 22, 2021 he released his Debut Album ‘Ambivalence, featuring eight tracks on mental health, faith, doubt, grief, and everything in-between. It was a fully independent release and Jimmy wrote, performed, recorded, and produced everything on the album. He has seen a positive reaction to the new music and has discussed his many inspirations such as Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Alex G, and Adrianne Lenker, which can all be hinted at in his music. Jimmy is a young artist with room to grow, but the future is promising for him and the emotional sincerity he provides through his words are important for the world to hear.
