(1).Jimmy Evans was former bass player for Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks 1958-1960. He can be found playing on Ronnies debut album "Meet Ronnie Hawkins" and also on "Mr.Dynamo". Jimmy also worked with Conway Twitty from 1956-1958 and appears on all of Conways "Mercury" recordings. Jimmy wrote Conways'"Why can't I get through to you". He has also written songs for Johnny Rivers and Jerry Lee Lewis. Jimmy also appears on Mack Selfs' earlier SUN/Phillips recordings of "Mad at You" and "Mexican Limbo". As well as played on many others. Jimmy spent 1954-1956 at SUN records as session musician. Some of Jimmy's billboard/cashbox chart hits include "Messy Bessy", Pink Cadillac, Dudley Do-Rite and "The Joints Really Jumpin'". CD titles include: "The Joints Really Jumpin'", "Back Again With More Great Hits", "The Jackson Sessions" featuring Carl Perkins piano man Lee McAlpin and Delta-all around musician Ben*Ben Adler and "Arkansas' Been Rockin'". Jimmy can also be found on Tower Records, "Memphis Greatest Rockabillys". Jimmy was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2000 and also in the UK in 2003.
