Jimmy Diamond is an indie rock band from The Netherlands. Apart from being a roots rock band in their own right, recording their own material, they are also the backing band of choice on European tours of Strand of Oaks, the band moniker of American rocker, Timothy Showalter. Jimmy Diamond takes us to the americana and roots rock of the seventies and infususe it with modern indie rock to create music that represents an epic sound of a new morning through raw guitars and pedal steel. They were invited by Tim Showalter to become his left and right hands in Europe because a similar musical DNA flows through their bloodstreams. Following their début single, 'Airplane' in October 2020, the band released twin EPs in 2021: Common Sense in April and Commotion in September, paving the way for their unconventional version of Americana indie roots rock. Far-reaching plans for further releases are to be implemented in 2022, with collaboration with Timothy Showalter (Strand of Oaks), Kevin Ratterman (My Morning Jacket, Madrugada, Emma Ruth Rundle) and Amsterdam's Excelsior Recordings. Fans of Jim James, Ray LaMontagne, Richard Swift will certainly appreciate Jimmy Diamond's sound.
