Artist
Coming out of Shreveport, Louisiana, having made a name for themselves on the Louisana Hayride, Jimmy and Johnny had their first success with "If You Don't, Somebody Else Will" in 1954. Not long after this, Johnny left to begin an immensely successful solo career under his own name as Johnny Mathis, leaving Jimmy Fautheree to continue with a new 'Johnny', his brother Lynn. Still successful without Mathis, the duo recorded and performed until Lynn left in 1957. Mathis came back briefly to the duo in 1958, although they only ever sang in the studio and did not tour or perform live.
