Omer Havron (Hebrew: עומר הברון), born on June 7, 1985, in Rehovot, Israel, professionally known as Jimbo J (In Hebrew: ג'ימבו ג'יי), is an Israeli rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor recognized for his innovative contributions to the Israeli hip-hop scene. Havron's stage name, "Jimbo J," originated from his ICQ nickname during his youth. After serving in the Israeli Artillery Corps, he studied communications at Sapir Academic College, focusing on radio and podcasting. In 2012, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy while continuing to perform. Jimbo J released his debut studio album, Let's Come Before, in 2017, in collaboration with the Spa Band Jimbo J and the Spa Band. This was followed by What Rappers Want (2019), Port Workers (2021), and Ah Wow (2023), all with the Spa Band. His music blends hip-hop with Israeli cultural elements, offering a unique voice within the genre. Beyond music, Havron co-wrote the hip-hop operas This City and Dream High School, produced by the Incubator Theater. He also adapted his song Here is the Center into a children's book, showcasing his versatility as an artist. He resides in Kibbutz Or Haner.
