Jessica Ireland is an unsigned Canadian folk and country musician from Whitby, born June 26th 1991. She was deemed by her teachers and peers as musically gifted at a young age and can a play a wide variety of instruments. To varying degrees she can play guitar, bass, piano, baritone saxophone, violin, mandolin, ukulele and banjo. Her influences come from her history of competing in local singing competitions and karaoke nights to mostly country songs. But she states that her love for rock music like The Smiths and even Rush comes very much into play when composing songs. Other Influences are Mumford and sons, Allison Krauss, Simon and Garfunkel, City and Colour, Radiohead and Death Cab for Cutie.
