Jessica Leigh Harp (born 3 February 1982 in place Kansas City, Missouri, United States) is an American singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt lyrics and pop country style. From an early age, Harp showed a natural passion for music, singing at age 3, writing her first lyrics at 8, and learning guitar by 13. She launched her solo career with the independent release of Preface in 2002. Her career took a new turn when she joined Michelle Branch on tour as a backup singer, later performing the song The Good Kind as part of Branch's live shows. In 2004, Harp and Branch officially formed The Wreckers, blending their talents into a successful duo. Their debut album, Stand Still, Look Pretty, arrived in 2006 and produced several hits before the duo disbanded in 2008. Harp returned to her solo path in 2010 with the release of A Woman Needs.
