Jess Carroll started singing at the age of 6, when her childminder heard her singing in the park- 'Some Where Over The Rainbow' and firmly told her parents, that Jess should be having singing lessons to develop an obvious talent. After a number of private tuitions and at only the age of ten, Jess was accepted at performing arts school. Jess remarked "I didn't really get on there, I hated it in fact........but I loved being able to perform on West End stages every year........so I stayed for a few years". We almost lost her talents, when for a while, Jess stopped singing. Jess recalls "I went right off singing, I didn't want to do it......I found it annoying that at every family event I would be asked to sing....people were always pestering me about it! I can honestly say though, I think that was a stroppy teenager thing" Luckily for us, Jess got involved in school shows, "I loved it....I also took music 'A' level". After leaving school, Jess knew what she wanted to do "I then knew that singing was the only option for me. So I researched music schools in London and found an ideal college called 'Vocaltech'. I studied there for a year and loved every single minute of it! Meeting and surrounded by people that wanted to do what I wanted to do....it gave me even more motivation to want to succeed". As an 18th birthday present, her parents paid the tuition fees-and what an investment! Only ten people out of the whole year got to sing at the graduation with a live band.....and
