Artist
Born in 1939 in Wisconsin, guitarist Jerry Cole found himself in a musical melting pot environment when his family moved to Chicago, where blues and jazz influenced his playing. Relocating to the West Coast, he toured as a member of the Champs before becoming a key member of the celebrated Wrecking Crew studio players, backing up everyone from Sinatra to the Beach Boys and the Byrds. Along the way he cut a run of collectible albums for Crown and other labels, adapting his style from surf and hot rod to psychedelia as required.
