Jeremy Vess is a solo artist, as well as the frontman of alternative rock band Vess. A modern-day storyteller, he weaves melodies into the fabric of narrative to forge a unique niche of eclectic songwriting. As you listen to his songs, it's evident that Vess’ primary goal is to try to captivate his audience with an absorbing story. He prefers his well-crafted music to take a supportive role to the lyrical content and vocals. The resulting songs have a flavor of their own, and show influences from Johnny Cash to U2. His sound ranges from acoustic rock to folk to alternative country, all without losing indie originality. Unapologetically, Vess writes and performs with little concern to what the industry pushes as popular. Even so, with each song there is a melody purposed to be timeless and catch the listener, along with lyrics that have something to say.
