"Poetic but not abstract, sensitive but not sentimental, Jeremy’s music celebrates life, love, friendship, and everything in between. Jeremy combines modern poetry and contemporary folk music and transforms them into a medium that promotes hope, peace and understanding." I grew up in Hong Kong. I started playing guitar when I was twelve, mostly learning Paul Simon’s tunes. I got my first gig when I was 18, playing at a local café/restaurant for the weekend in summer for several years until I moved to the United States in the 80s. I went to college first in Miami, Florida and later in San Francisco, California, where I actively performed on campus. In 1987 I had the opportunity to live in Colombia where I learned Spanish and the music from the Andes (Musica Andina). Although I did not play very much in the 90s, due to the busy work schedules and family reasons, I continued to write poetry and songs. In 2002, I started performing again and since then I have performed at many venues and festivals. Music is a unique form of communication and I enjoy reaching out to a wider audience through my music.
