Jered is from San Diego originally. Now lives in New York currently recording and writing and struggling to be an actor. He started playing guitar mainly so he could sing. Writing songs was always an after thought, but once Jered started he realized he had a knack for it. Through years of theatrical study from Sondheim to Shakespeare Jered developed a style unique to many through a play about Woody Guthrie. Other elements are involved including influences like Live and Bare naked Ladies and Ani DiFranco and Dave Mathews. Finding humor and the developement of the poem inside the song, while allowing the music to flow forward without words getting in the way.
