Jenova 7 is the musical "nom de plume" of Michael J. Sirois, a 25 year old artist from Boston, MA (USA). His genres include trip-hop, downtempo and instrumental hip-hop. He is most recognized for the “Dusted Jazz” instrumental series, known for having jazzy grooves, organic drum breaks and moody, cinematic vibes. His style is influenced by pioneering trip-hop artists of the early 90s such as DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, DJ Cam and Portishead. He is currently releasing music with Cold Busted Records and Dusted Wax Kingdom. He is also a member of the trip-hop trio Wax Triptych alongside Mononome and Mr. Moods.
