Jeff Saxon describes his eclectic and broadly-appealing musical style, "blujanova"; a merging of blues, jazz and bossa nova. This hybrid style really shines with Jeff's innovative arrangements of tunes seemingly devoid of jazz or Latin influences, such as "Hound Dog","Riders On The Storm" and "I Got You (I Feel Good)". This sublime style also lends itself perfectly to Saxon's soothing and emotive vocals. IAE Magazine (I Am Entertainment), in reviewing Jeff's previous "Truthteller" CD, wrote that Saxon possessed “a great voice” and a reviewer at Minor 7th took it even further by calling it "a voice that is utterly disarming...”. An accomplished guitarist as well, Jeff has an expansive "jazz-centric "chordal palette, eschewing flashiness in favor of beautifully textural and soulful playing. As a songwriter and composer, Jeff is known for his memorable melodies, sublime and sophisticated chord changes and intelligently crafted lyrics.
