Jean Conseil (1498 - 1535) was a French composer who worked in Italy. Sang in the Papal choir from 1513 and became its maestro di cappella in 1534. He was one of the lesser but talented figures of the early sixteenth century, and his motets and chansons appeared in anthologies of 1529-59.
