Je Moeder began as 'Salmons Noses' on the Olympus College, Arnhem. Six friends with instruments came together to create a song for the yearly battle of the bands. Due to the great cooperation, Salmons Noses wins the battle of the bands, and all band-members agree: We could do better! In the following year the Six worked together to get a distinctive sound: a crossover between nederhop, metal and punk, joined with the funky loops from Tony. This is where the genre 'Nedercore' was created. The band keeps producing songs and after a year celebrates its birthday with a demo-cd called 'Eet smakelijk'. After the demo-cd, everything came in a current. More influences like stoner-rock, and ska are involved. And in the beginning of 2004, Salmons Noses turns into 'Je Moeder'. Je Moeder has made 3 albums: - Eet smakelijk (demo-cd made when they were Salmons Noses) in 2002 - Eigen Beheer (another demo-cd) in 2004 - Subcultuur (Their first full-length album) in 2005 Unfortunately, due to Dean's vocal problems, and due to not finding a new singer, Je Moeder stopped making music.
