Nowhere near as obvious as the name might suggest. Jazzvocals' songs held together by grand gestures, expansive emotions and most of all a truly great voice. And yet, Jasmin Houshmand, a true London (UK) girl with Italian-Iranian roots, seems surprised by her own success. 'I am still very new to the music industry, I only started singing professionally in 2004. The music and lyrics of Jazzvocals are a reflection of my star sign, Gemini - on the one hand, there's "me", Jasmin, who spends her everyday existence trying to succeed in everything, whether work or study. On the other hand, there is my darker side, reflected in my vocals, a side where I am able to let go and be free'.
