Jay Bolotin was born in Fayette County, Kentucky in 1949.He is a poet, a song writer, a performer and an extraordinary visual artist.He is primarily a professional woodcuts artist.He connected his artistic and musical skills by making one opera called "Limbus" performed with mechanical puppets and one animation movie called "The Jackleg Testament". Both of these productions are made from the characters and themes from his woodcuts that he previously made.His album "Songs of Jay Bolotin-Volume One-Shadow of a Beast" is released in 2007.Some of his works are displayed in MOMA and he will be performing concerts and lectures in the UK in 2008.
