Javier Hernando is an ambient artist from Barcelona, Spain. He worked under the names Melodinamika Sensor and Sinusoidal, was in a short-lived band XEEROX and collaborated with different artists. 1981 - 1985 After the break up of XEEROX Javier started a programm called Los Silencios de la Radio (The Silences of the Radio) on the radio PICA. He did sessions of auto-training of the audio-signal feedback on bio-information machines at the Cybernetics Institute of the Barcelona. He stayed for some time in London, contacted members of the local experimental electronic scene and collaborated on spanish-speaking TV programme La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age) which was dedicated to SPK. Founded a cassette label Ortega y Cassette with Maria Dolores García and Angel Lalinde. Only five tapes were released on it: La Otra Cara De Un Jardín (La Otra Cara De Un Jardín, 1982, reissue), Untitled (Melodinamika Sensor, 1983), Violines Y Trompetas / Una Fuente Inservible and 581 (Camino Al Desvan, both 1984), and Eg -1 (Esplendor Geométrico, 1985, reissue). 1990s The programme Los Silencios de la Radio broadcasts started again with Andrés Noarbe's co-operation. Collaborated in the musical installation Temps de Pas (Tempo of Steps) by Chema Alvargonzalez at the Galery Carles Taché in Barcelona. Worked with the band Mohochemie (Rosa Arruti and Manel Pugés).
