Formed in August of 2004, Jasper Ave. is a trio of classically trained musicians from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Their music combines influences from rock, folk, country and blues genres and delivers a sound that can't be placed nicely into any of them. Jasper Ave. disbanded in 2009, but reformed as The Noble Liars. Since forming, the band has written more than 20 songs which culminated in the creation of their first LP, "The First Dance." This album was written during the fall of 2004 and the summer of 2005 (with a 4 month breather for Davin in Russia). It was recorded during the fall of 2005 while band members were in and out of various parts of Western Canada with school and work. Finally, it was then engineering, mixed and mastered during the winter of 2005/06 and released in June of 2006. Two other albums followed: Music. At Christmas. and Jasper Ave. Kurt - Drums Born and raised in Saskatoon, Kurt started off his musical life as an RCM piano player.
