Cathartic and soulful are just two words used to describe Jason Barty’s compositions. A blend of textures, home recordings, software and instruments blur the lines between Downtempo and Ambient music. Each song’s instrumental nature leaves room for introspection and imagination. Ironically Jason’s roots are in electronic music, while his main inspiration is found in the simplicity of acoustic instruments and the sounds of rivers, wind and the ocean. He is currently self-studying music, collaborating and writing songs in Cape Town, South Africa.
