Artist
In his last seven years as a music photojournalist, Jared Polin has become nearly as recognizable on the live music scene as the artists and icons he’s captured in his photographs. Polin’s energy and enthusiasm for the craft has allowed him to capture countless musicians in their various habitats – whether it’s live on stage in front of thousands, bouncing from city-to-city on tour buses, or at their most candid and intimate times, while writing and practicing their work in the privacy of a bedroom, dive bar or smoky corner restaurant booth. His ability to capture images of some of the biggest names in music, like Perry Farrell and Coldplay have given his work true credibility, but he continues to hone his craft by capturing lesser-known musicians and artists on the rise. His work has graced the pages of some of the most prestigious music publications, and his personal blog and online archive have become destinations for budding photographers and music fans around the world. Polin has also photographed professional and recreational sports teams, as well as politicians and international dignitaries. His photographs of then-presidential candidate Barack Obama were featured on nationally syndicated television programs.
