Jannis Weggenmann was born in 1984 in Zurich, Switzerland and is among the youngest composers, who participates in the "Swiss Piano" project. He is considered one of the promising young composers in Switzerland. Since 2005 he has been studying composition at the Zurich University of the Arts with Andreas Nick and Isabel Mundry. In summer 2010 he will be obtain his Master's degree in composition. His interest lies in electroacoustic music. His works have been performed in Switzerland and abroad.
