Goes like this..... Johnny Kaiser (drummer) and his wife Jane (singer) decided they'd like to record some tunes together. They asked Brad Dallaston to join them on bass - they now had a stable unit which could play together. They then initiated the talents of like- minded guitarists, who joined them from far flung places such as Essex, Scotland and Norway as and when they could, with the prospect of recording some songs. Very soon this happened and "Stay Away From Boys", their first LP was made, featuring Kaiser George and Ed Turner on guitars. Promoters then appeared thick and fast wanting to book the band for live shows. Johnny, Jane and Brad then realised that in order to play these shows, they needed permanent guitarists, who were also based in London..... along came Ken Copsey & Richard Spyers..... they were now ready to go forth and entertain with their unique style that they named "Rhythm and Beat" !!
