Janet Youngdahl is an early vocal music specialist, primarily interested in 17th Century music (Henry Purcell and Barbara Strozzi) and medieval music (Hildegard von Bingen). She has appeared in multiple Baroque operas such as Dido And Aeneas and The Fairy Queen. Her soprano voice has been featured in Handel’s Messiah, the Brahms’ Requiem, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, the Mozart Requiem, the Durufle Requiem and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
