The enigmatic actress,artist and unsigned singer/songwriter Jane Kidder was born Jeanne Racz in 1989 in The French Alps.She recorded her first album of acoustic songs "Archipelago" aged 16.Her first real band was Jane Kidder and Mary Me,an acoustic Lo-Fi duo,songs "Blast From The Past" and "BJP" being fan favourites and "The Boy Who" released on the compilation "Songwriting Is Not A Crime" ." BJP" was featured in Geoff Rowleys Vans "Off The Wall" promo. Janes repertoire of over 300 songs,all around the 2mins 30 secs mark,cover various subjects. Existentialism,anxiety,boy meets girl,girl meets girl,girl loses girl, subliminal perception,the zeitgeist. and shoes. Usually backed by,and sometimes billed as, The Jane Kidder Band-Dan Kidder on Fender electric guitars and Kit Kidder on drums,live shows are loud and sometimes chaotic affairs,with abandoned setlists,equipment failures leading to faux tantrums and footwear ending up in the audience.
