Well my name is John Mayo. I was born in Lexington, VA on August 21, 1990. I have always loved music ever since I first remember hearing it. I think I was about 3 years old, my mom would always play Queen records non stop! (She loves music so much considering she is hard of hearing) Growing up I knew I always wanted to play, seeing other kids playing, I was like I can do that. I remember getting my first guitar, I was 14, I payed 50 dollars for it at a barbershop in Huntsville, AL (I moved from VA to AL in 1998 when I was 8). After that I played nonstop, everyday, constantly learning new things. I knew this was something that I was meant to do, music that is. I was about to graduate high school in 2008 and I had no idea what I wanted to do really. It seemed impossible to do music professionally at the time, I come from a regular family I thought. So I decided to join the United States Air Force, almost forgetting music at the time. But As I got to my first base, the first thing I did was buy a guitar and amp. I started playing even more! And now I was able to buy the gear that I always wanted. I also now started singing when I was playing, people that heard me said I had a very unique voice and liked hearing me. I started learning everything I could about music, singing, theory, you name it. I then realized about 3.5 years in(2012) that I wanted to do music professionally.
