Artist
Jan Campanus Vodňanský, also Jan z Vodňan, Ioannes Campanus Vodnianus or simply Campanus (December 27, 1572, Vodňany – December 13, 1622, Prague) was a Czech humanist, composer, pedagogue, poet, and dramatist. His compositions are a successful evidence of Czech musical thinking of late renaissance and illustration of the evolution of early baroque music upon late renaissance elements.
