In 1976, guitarist Jan Akkerman left progressive rock act Focus and teams up again with vocalist Kaz Lux to create a concept-album LP named "Eli", which was released on Atlantic records in the same year. Akkerman and Lux both played in psychedelic blues act Brainbox in the late 60's / early 70's. In 1977, Akkerman and Lux did a tour through England with Kayak in the supporting program. Akkerman and Lux released their second and last vinyl LP "Transparental" in 1980, through Ariola records. "Eli" was reissued on CD in May 1988. "Transparental" was, however, not available on CD for many years, but the Dutch website http://fonos.nl/ has recently reissued it.
