"My Mother Died and Left Me" and "Consolation" could not be improved upon, even in one's imagination. It is such beautiful and controlled singing. Jessie Mae Hemphill, who joined Shorter for "Search Me Lord" and a little bit of "Home Going" sounds like a child, very sweet.
